This promises to be a very enriching year for your child. I look forward to building a strong foundation and instilling a lifelong love of learning in your cherished one. This will be a very special year, and I look forward to building a partnership with you!
Please feel free to contact me by school e-mail [email protected]
1. Speak positively about school. Stress the fun of new friends and activities. If your child sees that you like school, he or she will be more apt to develop positive feelings toward school.
2. Reassure your child that you will reunite at the end of the school day. Say something simple, such as, “Have fun, I’ll be back soon and you can tell me about all the fun things you did today!” This reassurance makes the transition of leaving much easier. Even if your child is tearful, keep your good-bye cheerful!
3. Let your child bring a “security-something” to school. A family picture can offer much comfort.
4. Please return the survey on Wednesday, September 18th so we can immediately get to know your child and meet his or her individual needs.
